Biblical Usage
Mahlon was the son of Elimelech and Naomi and the brother of Chilion. He went with his family from Bethlehemjudah to Moab during a famine.
Mahlon married Ruth, but he later died in Moab. Ruth is subsequently identified as the wife of Mahlon when Boaz acted in connection with the family’s inheritance and married her.
