A wall is a structure built to enclose, divide, protect, or support an area or building.
Biblical Usage
In Scripture, walls are structures used around cities, houses, vineyards, buildings, and other places. City walls provided protection and marked the limits of settlements.
Walls appear in accounts of construction, destruction, warfare, and other events. The wall of Jericho fell after the Israelites shouted as commanded by God, while the rebuilding of Jerusalem’s wall is described in Nehemiah.
