Ophrah is a place name used for locations in the territories of Manasseh and Benjamin.
Biblical Usage
The most prominent Ophrah in Scripture was Ophrah of the Abiezrites, associated with Gideon in the territory of Manasseh. Gideon lived there when the angel of the LORD appeared to him, and he built an altar there.
A separate Ophrah is listed among the cities of the tribe of Benjamin. The biblical references therefore indicate more than one location bearing the name.
