Remembrance is the act or state of remembering someone or something; the preservation of memory.
Biblical Usage
In Scripture, remembrance refers to remembering, recalling, or keeping something in mind. It can concern God’s acts, His covenant, His commandments, people, events, sins, or promises.
Scripture also uses remembrance in connection with memorials and appointed practices that cause something to be remembered. The stones taken from Jordan were established so that the event would be remembered by future generations.
