A married man in relation to his wife.
Biblical Usage
Scripture uses husband for a man who is married to a woman. The term occurs in accounts of marriage, family relationships, household responsibilities, and personal relationships between men and women.
The Bible also uses husband in comparisons and figurative descriptions. Israel is described in relation to the LORD using marital language, and the New Testament uses the relationship between a husband and wife when describing marriage and household responsibilities.
